Since 1924 Greece is a parliamentary republic. It is the member of ΞΞN, EURO, NATO.
Geographical position:
Greece is a country in the southeast of Europe, occupying a southern extremity of the Balkan Peninsula and lump of Aegean islands, Ionian and Mediterranean seas. In northwest Greece borders with Macedonia (Yugoslavia, entering structure,) and Bulgaria, on the northeast - with Turkey bounds with Albania, north - with republic. In the east is washed by waters of the Aegean Sea, in the south by waters of the Mediterranean Sea, in west by waters of the Ionian Sea. Generally the area is more than 132,000 sq. km. More than 20 % is islands. There are more than twenty thousand islands and less than two hundred are populated. The area of the country is 132 thousand sq. km. The highest point of Greece is mountain Olympus (2917 μ). The capital of Greece is Athens.

April and May is most beautiful months, when all blossoms and turn green. This best time for travels on historical places.

Velvet season is September and October. Fever falls down, but the swimming season in height.
